there’s nothing as romantic as

finding things you’d thought you’d forgotten,

like storybooks with your preschool scrawlings

or pressed flowers and bad

teenaged poetry i could start a library

with all these love letters

and scraps of lil-ac,

it’s the things you’d really lost that you’d left for so long

that when you find, make you feel bad

because you never missed them,

like tshirts and photographs,

apathy towards the inanimate

is easy like

 finding

things.
